今天的英文功課是: The Forest People.非洲叢林匹克米人.

"The Forest People" 是1962的一本書,作者是:蘇格蘭人Colin Turnbull.

1.The Pygmies are really small, even the adult males seldom grow as tall as 140 cm.However, their smallness is an adventage in the dense jungle.

2.The Pygmies have been around since at least 2500 BC, and many of them have still had little contact with the outside world.

   3. The Pygmies are hunter-gatherers and live in simple wooden huts, they only need to work about 15-20 hours per week.

4.The Pygmies spend lots of time phaying with their Childred, or teaching them the ways of the forest. They also spend many hours per day just sitting around campfires and chatting.

5.Turnbull told them that in other parts of the world the air could become so cold that water would change and become  hard like stone, They didn't believe this . They were so amused that many of them were rolling on the ground in laughter.

  6. They make so without our modren conveniences, but they are remarkably free of disease and their society does not know money , warfare, or crime.

7.The pygmies live near the edges of the rainforest often have ties with Afrecan towns and villages. There might even be some limited trade, such as exchanging meat and furs for steel kinves and cooking pots.

Each culture has its ferture. Each culture has its interesting.

European culture.

I'm not very interested any culture.

It is too rushed and fast paced.繁忙及步調很快.

How do you say?

Let us guess.
